About

Providing Compassionate Conversations and Trauma Healing

Every conversation has the power to heal, to transform, and to bring hope.

The Mission

Empowering individuals to heal

Reclaiming Shalom exists because too many men are carrying stories they were never given the language to tell. The wounds are real. The silence is real. And the distance between the life you’re living and the life you were made for is real too.

Shalom — the ancient Hebrew vision of wholeness, of every part of life in right relationship — is not just a theological concept. It is what you were built for. And the work here is helping men find their way back to it, one honest conversation at a time.

This is not therapy. It is narrative-focused trauma care — a different kind of conversation that takes your whole story seriously.

The Person Behind the Work

Chris Malone

Narrative-Focused Trauma Care

Reclaiming Shalom is built on the belief that your story matters — not just the parts that are easy to tell, but the whole arc of it. The wounds, the silences, the adaptations that kept you moving when everything inside said stop.

Chris Malone works with men who are carrying stories they were never given the language or the space to tell. Not men who have given up, but men who sense there is something more whole available to them and aren’t quite sure how to get there.

"Every conversation has the power to heal, to transform, and to bring hope."

The work is narrative-focused — meaning the story itself becomes the material. Where did the fractures happen? What did you learn to do with pain? What parts of yourself went quiet, and what parts went loud? Tracing those lines carefully, with honesty and without shame, is where healing begins.

This is not about fixing what’s broken. It’s about listening carefully to what the brokenness is trying to say — and helping you carry your story differently.

How This Works

The approach behind the conversations

Narrative-focused trauma care isn’t a formula. It’s a way of listening that takes the whole story seriously — not just the presenting problem, but the arc of your life that led here.

Faith-Informed

Shalom is not a metaphor here — it’s a framework. The belief that you were made for wholeness, that peace is possible, and that God is close to the brokenhearted shapes every conversation.

Narrative-Focused

Your story is the material, not just the backdrop. The work traces where fractures happened, what you learned to do with pain, and what healing might look like for the specific life you’ve lived.

Practically Safe

Being seen without being exposed. Being challenged without being shamed. The pace is yours. The process is designed so that you can move toward your story without being buried by it.

What This Work Is Built On

Core convictions

Every story deserves to be heard

Not edited down, not spiritualized past the hard parts, not managed. The whole arc — including the parts you haven’t said out loud.

Healing is integration, not denial

The goal isn’t to leave the hard parts behind. It’s to learn to carry them differently — with honesty instead of shame, with clarity instead of weight.

Your story is not your sentence

What happened to you does not define what is possible for you. The map is in the story — including the parts that feel most fixed.

Peace grows where truth and mercy meet

Shalom isn’t the absence of pain. It’s the presence of wholeness. And it becomes possible when honesty and compassion are both fully in the room.
